Meet the Owner

Dr. Mel Mello is a certified ESDM, CPRT, and PC-CARE trainer that has worked with young children with autism and their families for more than 17 years. Mel is also a certified ESDM parent coach, certified Project ImPACT provider, and certified PC-CARE provider.  She is also trained in cognitive behavior therapy and neurodevelopmental assessment. Mel is committed to guiding community clinics, professionals, parents, and special education teachers by providing them with the training needed to best support their children and clients. Mel holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Master's Degree in Special Education, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and psychologist.  She is passionate about providing high quality training for professionals and caregivers to improve outcomes for children with autism. 

 

Mel has been training for over 11 years and has trained professionals working with young children with autism all over the world.  She has worked at the UC Davis MIND Institute for the past 11 years.  In this role, she has supported many different treatment related research studies. She is passionate about bringing the work developed at the MIND Institute into the community. Prior to working at MIND, Mel worked in community clinics supervising early intervention programs and as a special education teacher.
